Pittville Student Village Opened in 2017 and managed by Uliving, our student village has a refectory and shop, bar, gym, multi-use studio, faith space and 24/7 on-site security. There are over 300 rooms split across flats, townhouses and studio apartments – all just a short walk from the bus station, offering easy access to Oxstalls campus (or it’s a 25 minute walk/15 minute cycle ride).

Our degrees We offer over 80 undergraduate degrees so there’s plenty for you to choose from. Honours degree
Foundation degree
3 years full-time (levels 4–6)
2 years full-time (levels 4–5)
The standard three-year degree after which you’ll be a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Law (LLB) or Bachelor of Education (BEd).
For students who aren’t sure whether they have the qualifications to study a full Honours degree.
Fast-track Honours degree 2 years full-time (levels 4–6) Some courses offer a fast-track option where you can graduate in two years. Honours degree with placement
Level 6 Honours degree 1 year full-time (level 6) For students who already have qualifications such as a Foundation degree or Higher National Diploma which they want to top up to a full Honours degree.
4 years full-time (levels 4–6) These degrees offer a 48-week work placement, usually in the third year.

Develop the skills you need to become an independent researcher and critical thinker. Working closely with subject experts, you’ll develop investigative and analytical skills by exploring the past through a range of sources and historical documents.
This degree focuses on the political, social, economic and cultural history of the modern world, from the European discovery of the Americas in 1492 onwards. You’ll work closely with a range of experts in several specialist strands, and develop your investigative, analytical and communication skills. You’ll get hands-on experience of doing historical research and producing exhibitions for organisations such as the Cotswold Centre for History and Heritage. Gain a grounding in criminology and the global issues facing contemporary society, such as terrorism and conflict. There are many funding options available to support you during your studies:
Our bursaries, scholarships, fee waivers and awards
Student loans to cover tuition fees
Care leavers scholarship We offer a 50% fee waiver plus a bursary towards general living, accommodation and study costs to students that have been in care.
UK-based students may be eligible to apply for a Tuition Fee Loan. This loan will cover the cost of your tuition fees and is paid directly to us when your attendance is confirmed. Student Maintenance Loan for living costs If you’ve lived in the UK for three years prior to study, you can apply for a Student Maintenance Loan to help with your living costs – up to £8,944 per year if you’ll be living away from home, and up to £7,529 if you stay at home*. The amount you’re eligible for also depends on where you choose to study and your family household income. Again, this loan will need to be repaid but not until you’re earning over £25,000 a year. Additional non-repayable grants Specific government grants may also be available for students with disabilities or dependants.

Partnership bursary This £500 cash bursary is available to students who come to us from one of our partnership schools or colleges who are assessed by a student finance authority as having a household income of less than £42,875.*
Academic Merit Scholarship Our scholarship is awarded to recognise academic excellence. If you achieve 128 UCAS Tariff points or higher in your qualifications, you could be eligible to receive £400 per year (£1,200 in total) which you can use towards rent, book vouchers or the Course Level Credit Programme, which provides money towards trips, excursions, materials and relevant certifications.
Financial assistance fund Designed to support students facing unexpected financial hardship after the start of term. Sports scholarships** Support for students who perform at a high national or international level in their chosen sport area. Music scholarships Funding and tuition for those who play an orchestral instrument or are a confident vocalist, having reached a Grade 5 or equivalent standard.
